Our STory

Lupine opened in November 2025! We are a husband and wife team hungry for honest, human hospitality and products that are quality-driven yet unfussy. We strive to make Lupine a space for precisely that, and we're just getting started! 

A little about our background: A small family business, we have two brilliant daughters, along with a dog and two cats at home. Our entrepreneurial adventure began in August 2014, when we opened Argonaut Espresso Bar, a walk-up coffee stand at the west end of Front Street in downtown Leavenworth. 

In spring of 2018, we launched Schnitzel Boys, where we developed a reputation for our tasty craft sandwiches and as a favorite lunch spot for locals. After two and a half years—which included a season of packing to-go meal kits during a global pandemic—we made the bittersweet decision to sell the sandwich shop, which was by then called Argonaut Kitchen. 

Meanwhile, Argonaut was bursting at the seams and busier than ever! Knowing we needed more space for our operations, we expanded the coffee shop into a larger space, opening Argonaut Coffee & Biscuits in August 2021. Argonaut continues to be a small but mighty cafe on the west side of Leavenworth, serving up artisanal breakfast items and delicious espresso drinks. 

Lupine is a dual café and market space. You can rely on us to bring you a solid, concise and 100% delicious menu. Our market is part wine shop, part kitchen shop, part gift shop, all hand-picked by yours truly. Our hope is that Lupine is a pleasant place filled with human connection and honest food made with care, providing a respite from the hustle of everyday life.
